I got called to stage this house after renters had vacated the property. It was not taken care of, and it needed some serious cleaning.... the homeowners had some paint left over so they took care of the walls themselves.
This house is a typical 80's center entrance Colonial. The living room is off to the left of the entrance and the dining room off to the right. The living room is one of the first rooms you see when you enter the home, so it really needed to look beautiful and welcoming.
Here are some before pictures of the living room:
Kind of a basic square room with two sets of windows on one wall and a window on the opposite wall. The walls were a khaki and terra cotta combination. The homeowners wanted to leave the wall colors as they were.... Fortunately the carpet was new, and smelled new!
Here's the room starting to come together...
Curtains are up! The rods were already in place, love when that happens!
And here's the room all put together!
And another shot of the couch...
I love the light in this picture!
And one more view.
No staging job would be complete however without me running off to some store to collect things, like... terra colors pillows! Luckily for me a Tuesday Morning was right down to the street so I scored these pillows and this adorable orangey tray for the coffee trunk!
I think it all came together really well!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
